Adopt a coral

By adopting a 'single' coral, you can make a profound impact on marine conservation and safeguard one of the Earth's most precious ecosystems - the coral reefs.

Hmm... but how?

1

Participate in preserving the biodiversity of our oceans by selecting a coral adoption plan.

2

Support a verified green startup to continue restoring reefs and protect the wonders of the ocean.

3

Receive your own coral adoption certificate + regular updates & inspire others with your action.

Coral reefs worldwide are under serious threat—over 50% of coral reefs have already disappeared, and up to 90% may vanish by 2050. Let’s revitalise the reefs together!

Our solution

At uPledge, we've partnered with a revolutionary green startup called:

Reeformers

Reeformers is dedicated to planting new coral reefs. By adopting a coral today, you become a vital part of our mission to restore and protect these underwater wonderlands. Your support will fund transparent coral planting efforts, ensuring a brighter future for our oceans and all the incredible species that call them home.

We’re on a mission to increase the ocean's biodiversity and raise environmental awareness on ocean conservation, climate change, and carbon footprints. Through our coral transplantation, eco-dive trips, and coral adoption program, we strive to create a sustainable future for our oceans.

Many potential customers are not fully aware of how the ocean's ecosystem is degrading due to coral bleaching, which affects the fish populations they depend on. By increasing awareness, we aim to emphasize the critical role of massive coral replantation in preserving the ocean's sustainability and biodiversity.

This program goes far beyond typical coral transplantation efforts

Reeformers conduct monthly monitoring and maintenance trips, collecting growth data and ensuring corals are free from turf algae that can hinder their development. With a team of marine experts, we analyse data on water temperature, current speed, salinity, biodiversity increase, and coral growth rate.

Through our coral adoption program, you'll receive adoption certificates, and your name (or a name you choose) will be ‘securely’ attached to the corals you've supported. We provide semester growth reports, so you can witness the impact of your contribution.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the ocean with our eco-dive trips, where we educate society about marine conservation firsthand.

Located in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, our base offers access to some of the world's most breathtaking dive sites. Join us in our efforts to protect and preserve our ocean's treasures. Together, we can create a sustainable future for generations to come.

News: Mercedes-Benz and Reeformers collaborate to preserve coral reefs

In 2023, PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia is collaborating with Reeformers to undertake the coral reef planting initiative as part of the global sustainability campaign, LAND SEA AIR, which emphasizes the SEA pillar.

Beyond mere collaboration, this endeavor embodies a shared passion for our planet's well-being. Scientifically, coral reefs shine as remarkable protectors, absorbing carbon dioxide and exhaling life-giving oxygen.

Message from a young coral adopter

Alexander Boenjamin

“A small step can go a long way. A seed can grow into a tree. One fruit from the tree can grow into more trees. A few trees can grow into a community. A community can change the world.”
